I'll try to stay more up to date. I kind of miss blogging.

I have been doing pretty well with my workouts and eating. I did Zumba again today and loved every second of it. In all honestly, an hour just isn't long enough. :) I will be doing it with Monday's and Thursdays or Tuesdays an Thursday's.

I FINALLY started on Dragon*Con costumes. I bought all the fabrics I need for Liam's Batman costume and purchased some of the stuff for my Katy Perry costume. I will try to post pics when I'm done. And unfortunately, I am on my phone and don't know how to post pics from my phone.

Well, that's really all I have to talk about lol.

Did ya miss me?

(Probably not.) Ha, well a lot has changed since I last wrote. Where to begin...

I have started my weight loss journey...again...with a vengeance! I am kickin ass and takin names! I have been running, well jogging/walking. And I recently started Zumba! It is my new favorite exercise! I have only been once and I've fallen in love. I will be doing it twice a week. And I wish it was more! I have been watching my calorie intake which is 1,800 calories daily. I record everything, my food, exercise, weight. Speaking of weight, I now weigh 185! Woohoo! Only 5 pounds but that is awesome!

Liam is almost 23 months old, which means he will be two soon and I can't even fathom it. He is developing a beautiful personality. He has such a sense of humor jut like his momma. And not to mention, he calls me mom. Not momma or mommy but mom. Ha.

I read 50 Shades of Grey. I know, I know. I had to see what all the hype was about. (Possible spoilers ahead.) I hated it. The writing was terrible. Just awful. That itself almost made me put the book down. But I didn't and I finished it. All I have to say is Christian Grey is psychotic and Anna is a dumbass.  But, I will probably read the next one. I heard it was a lot better so we will see.

Dragon*Con is 30 days away! Holy crap! I haven't even started on my costume. I think I finally decided what to be. I am going to be Kathy Beth Terry. If you don't recognize her name, she is played by Katy Perry in her music video Last Friday Night. Love! Liam is going to be batman.

We just got back from Gatlinburg. It was a blast. It is so much more fun in the summer than in February. We actually stayed in Pigeon Forge instead of Gatlinburg and it was really nice. We had a very nice condo. I was able to take Liam to the Disney store! Which I loved! The one at our mall closed down and I was so bummed! But Liam scored some awesome Toy Story stuff

I'm also still considering being a 31 consultant. I really need the money and I just love the company. Stay tuned to find out if I become one!

Been thinkin...

I just want to clarify that I am not a writer. I never have been, probably never will be. I remember once telling my sophomore English teacher that I just couldn't write well. I mean, I could if I sat for hours thinking of a good way to word things but I really didn't want to do that. I know my blog probably sucks but I honestly don't care. I write it for myself (and my imaginary followers) because I want to remember things. There are so many things I never want to forget. So this blog may be written awfully but who gives a damn. :)

I have had a lot of things on my plate lately. Not necessarily bad things, just a lot of things.

*My sister started babysitting her "boyfriend's boss's daughter" so Liam has had a play mate for a couple weeks now for about 7 hours a day. This little girl is so sweet and is great company for Liam and it lets me get stuff done because he's not attached to my hip. Well, my sister is going out of town this Thursday and I will be taking over babysitting from then on, which will be nice money wise. Not to mention, one of my "mom's teacher friend's son" is expecting a baby and long story short, the mother has no family here and needs a babysitter and wants me to babysit her newborn in February! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am! So, I may have a little daycare on my hands haha.

*I got the new iPhone 4s, which I am so in love with! My HTC Inspire went to Android Heaven. I was very sad about it. A couple weeks ago, it started messing up after I had popped the case off of it and the battery fell out. Then it just started messing up and never recovered.

*I don't even know where to start about my weight loss/running/healthy eating blah blah blah. I got sick a few weeks ago (tonsillitis possibly) and haven't been in the mood to do any working out of any sort. However, recently, I was watching a video on Youtube my dad showed me of a little girl from another country who sings very well. It got me thinking, "I wonder if my dad ever wishes my sister or I were that talented." I bet that little girl's father is so proud of her. And I wanted that. Badly. I wanted my dad and mom to be proud of me. I craved it! I'm not exactly the ideal daughter, hello single mother. But I want my mom and dad to be like, "That's MY daughter!" So I have changed some things. A lot of things really. I have approached things differently, taken better care of myself and Liam, etc. Also, I was driving one day and saw a mother jogging and her son, about 8 or 9 y/o, was jogging with her! That will be Liam! And myself! :D

*One thing, I have never really talked about on this blog is my "mouth journey". Basically, my whole mouth is screwed up. Missing teeth, under bite, braces x2, etc. We had been waiting to hear back from our insurance company to cover the surgery to fix my jaw and they denied it! What the HELL?! I cried, for realz. I wasn't expecting it to get denied so we have been looking at other options. Appealing, taking it to court, paying for it, we're getting desperate. It's been a long journey that I am ready to be over with.

*I'm ready to start running again. I feel like I go through running spurts where I'll run for months, then won't run at all. I'm letting myself down. I had so many plans of 5ks and races I wanted to do but haven't signed up for any at all. But Monday, I am making myself start training for a 5k. Hopefully the Firecracker 5k in July. :)

*I went to a mother's night out last night at a German restaurant and it was awesome. Let me say that the night consisted of lots of drinks, a tattoo parlor (though no one got anything!), walking around downtown at 1 am and playing pool with a bunch of college kids. I felt old. These were my peeps and they shunned us haha. Oh well, we had drunken fun!

One more thing, I know I have zero followers but maybe I do...and if you do read my blog, thank you. :) From the bottom of my heart. It's nice to get things down on paper and just to express myself but I really appreciate anyone who reads this (and enjoys it!) :)

Random Sunday

I made up Random Sunday because I have nothing specific to write about and today's Sunday. So here is my first Random Sunday. :)

* Liam's first trip to Lake Winnie was a success! At first, he was a little very hesitant about riding anything. I got onto a ride with him (little parachutes), and he wanted nothing to do with them. So we got off before the ride started. Next, I tried the flying Dumbo ride. I seriously forced him onto it. He screamed and cried. But by the time we were in the air, he was just quiet. I pointed out all the geese in the lake that is in the middle of the park and he calmed down some. But as soon as the elephants started going down, he freaked. But who can blame him when the ride makes this really loud noise as it's descending. Ha. He ended riding a bunch more rides. I think the antique cars were his favorite. We rode it like 4 times.

* Liam got sick last week for only about 6 hours. Throwing up everything, fever, crying. He was miserable. Well, I made the mistake of kissing him right on the lips the next day and ended getting sick myself for 2 days! And, my mom and dad got sick so it was an awful week for everyone. The day I got sick (which was 2 days after Liam), I didn't get sick until that night. Well, I decided to clean the filter above our stove with a homemade cleaner that I found on Pinterest. You basically boil a huge pot of water and put about half a cup of baking soda in it. Then you just let the filter sit and watch the grease literally melt off. The only awful thing about it was the smell. If you can ever imagine the smell of cooking metal, it is one of the worst smells in the entire world. Especially when you aren't feeling good. Well, the smell will forever be etched into my brain because everytime I even think about it, I am extremely grossed out. Never again will I clean that dang filter.

* I failed again. Well, more like quit. I haven't mentioned that I quit the shred, I haven't run in forever (until this morning) and I am so eating awful again! I hate myself sometimes for allowing this! I'm trying so hard to change but I can't seem to find that determination that I used to have. Where did it go? I need it! I talked with Michelle yesterday at Scarlet's birthday party-which was super adorable Yo Gabba Gabba themed-and I convinced her to run a 5k with me! Ya! I got off my lazy butt and actually went out and ran today. I decided I wasn't ready for the 5k in June so I won't be doing that one. But I am doing the one in July-the Firecracker 5k-and am super excited! I started the Couch to 5k this morning and it is so different than how I usually run. Usually, I run for as long as I can, then walk when I get tired and then run again. But doing it consistently is so different. I was sweating within 5 minutes! Ha, but tomorrow Michelle is gonna start training with me. :)

*Last night, I went to a friend's birthday party. We ate at North Shore Grille, then headed to Top of the Dock. I got a drink at North Shore and let me tell you, it felt good. I don't think I've had a drink since before I got pregnant with Liam. So, it was nice to let loose and be baby free for the night. We partied it up at Top of the Dock, which I am not a big fan of. It is seriously all middle aged guys looking to get some. We were the youngest ones there. Haha. But, we all had a blast. We danced and drank and our waitress was horrible. But we had fun. Some guys showed up that I graduated with. There were probably about 16 of us from our class and it felt like a mini high school reunion. So much fun!

(Oh, and if you can tell by the pictures, I FINALLY got my hair done with the ombre look! I love it! And, this is Ashley, it was her and Jessica's 23rd birthday earlier in the week.)

*I went to a Thirty One party 2 weeks ago. I love me some 31. Thirty One is a company that sells the most adorable bags, lunch boxes, totes, baskets, etc. The best part is, they are all embroidered with your name, initials, fave quotes. I have a bajillion of them. Liam has a few also but they are mainly for girls. Anyways, I talked with the consultant about becoming one myself. Since I am not planning on getting a job until after my dumb jaw surgery, I really need some sort of income. I am losing it here. All I have to do is pay $99 for my starter kit and I'm ready to go. I host parties, have friends host parties, sell items and I'm on my way to making some mula. And I'm excited about it!

Cute, right?! LOVE!

Well, that's all I got. Sorry, it's taken me so long to write. I'll try to keep up better. :)

Brooks, Bridges and Breathing

Ok, I tried out my Brooks today aaaannndddd.....I LOVE THEM!

It was like running on a cloud. I haven't taken a rest day since last Saturday and it really caught up to me today. I just wasn't feeling it. Although running with the Brooks did make it a little better. Yesterday, I decided to get an official time for my 3.1 miles. As I kept checking the time, I forgot and didn't look until I was about 5.17 km and it was at 33 minutes. So I rounded it down to 31 minutes even and will try to PR from there. Today, I was so slow, I didn't even bother with trying to PR. In fact, I didn't go as far as I usually go and and got back to my car at 4.32 km. And it took me 47 minutes to do it. I do have to give myself leeway because yesterday I ran alone and today I ran with the jogging stroller and Liam. So I definitely am faster without the stroller.

Today, while picking up my shoes from the running store, I realized that the love of my life works there. Haha. It was the guy who fitted me for my shoes. He gave me a discount on the shoes. Uh, hello! Totally into me! Ha, I kid. Although I would totally be ok with that. ;)

I still haven't signed up for the 5k. I think I am super nervous about the course. I mean, it's super easy but the slant of the bridge is my biggest worry. I don't want to come in last because of the damn slant. Ha. If I'm lucky, the race will start on the opposite side and I will get to run down it. Fingers crossed!

Here is a picture of the course, sort of. The two bridges on the left is what we have to run across. Down one and up the other. Its a lot longer than it looks. Dreading it! Who knows, it may be a whole hell of a lot easier than I'm thinking. I hope so!

Today while running, I noticed how loudly I breathe. I mean, its loud. I never paid close attention because I always listen to the radio on my phone but dang. I need to get my breathing under control haha.

Been thinkin...

I got my Brooks today! I can't wait to try them out later! I also got some sweat bands and a Gu. I have been hearing about them on other blogs and the guy at the running store said they were good, so hopefully I'll like them. :)

I did a little research on the run that I'll be doing in June and the course looks a little...not easy. It's actually a flat course because we are just running across 2 bridges downtown but one of them has a slight angle that is torture to just walk up. I haven't signed up for it yet because I'm not sure I want it to be my first one. I think I'm going to start training on these bridges to see if I can do it without walking. Hills are always the worst part for me when I run and I am trying to get better but I have to walk up them. Hopefully, the course will start at the top of the bridge and I can run down the slant. That would be a whole lot better haha. The race does have a 5k fun run but I want to get a time and everything so I can PR my next race.

I'll post later and let you know how my 1st run with my new Brooks go! :D

5K training fail

Ha. Ok, so every time I run, I go the same distance which is about 6.5 km but today I wanted to find out how long it would take me to do just 5 km. And then PR from there. So, as I was out, I decided to turn around at 2.5 km and head back. After doing so, I realized my distance wasn't measuring the same on the way back and it should take me longer to get back to my car. Well, it didn't help the fact that I took a little detour on the way back also. Completely forgetting what I was doing. So, I got back to my car at 4.32 km. I kept telling myself, "I'll just pass the car and turn back around." Nope, when I saw the car, I was done. Ha. So I will have to try again tomorrow. That's if I can walk tomorrow! I am so sore. I know I need to take a rest day but I feel like I'm flaking out. Oh well. :)

I also am really excited to be getting my Brooks on Friday! I can't wait to try them out! Oh and I almost forgot to mention I almost got attacked by geese! I kid. Although they were probably thinking about it. There is a part of my run where there is a ramp that leads down to the water and some grassy area around it. Well, the geese and their new goslings love to chill right here. I hate it, because they poop on the sidewalk and it drives me crazy. They always hang out on the sidewalk too, where I have to run and they always hiss at me when I pass them. Trust me, I am more scared of them than they are of me. Haha.

Well, I am going to clean out the refrigerator even though it is 11 pm because Liam and I have been sleeping it till 10:30 am lately (bliss!)  and I don't want to do it tomorrow. :)

Burned 432 calories today..that's what's up.

My awesome mom is going to be buying me some actual running shoes Friday and I didn't know where to go to have some fitted. Well, I discovered that my not so little town actually has a running store downtown and I couldn't wait to check it out. Liam and I went today so I could get them fitted and what not but I had to put them on hold until Friday. Bummer. Buuuut, I found the most perfect shoes.

They're Brooks and I love them! I'm not sure if this is the exact shoe because I found them on Google images but the ones I put on hold look very similar to these ones.

The guy had me walk back and forth and he measured my foot and what not. He had me try a bunch of different shoes. Nike (which was my 2nd fave), Saucony, New Balance. I also liked the New Balance but the Brooks were just the most comfortable one. I was instantly in love. He let me walk around the block with them haha. My journey to becoming a runner is underway!

Later in the day, my mom babysat fro me so I could train a little for the 5k without Liam. I don't know if I am jogging farther but the app on my phone is still recording a longer distance. Today it said 6.5 km. And I apparently burned 432 calories. Wha??!! Awesome! I also PR'd today! By 1 minute haha. But I'm getting faster! :D

Did I ever mention how excited I am for my 1st 5K?!?!? :)

Where I run

Thought I'd show you guys a glimpse of where I jog.

This is over a little fishing bridge. I love jogging over it because it's so rickety and loud and just fun to run over haha.
This part runs along a main road and a street on the other side with historic houses on it. Love it.
This is the view from the little fishing bridge. It looks out right onto the Tennessee River. Most of the sidewalk runs along the river and it is just beautiful.
This picture looks all warped because I didn't slow down to take the picture haha.
I like this part because it's surrounded by all woods.

That's basically what it looks like when I jog. I have been doing a lot better on my running. Although I think my running app was way off today. I ran the same distance but for some reason, it said I went a lot farther. Usually I run about 5.75 km but it calculated 6.52 today. Oh well, burned more calories so I'll take it haha.

I have been doing some research on upcoming races and I found a couple I want to run. The main one that will be my first one is called the BlueCross Riverbend run in June. Some other ones I want to run are the Firecracker 5k. That one is in July. And some other ones I would like to attempt are of course the Susan G. Komen race for the cure 5k, the Jingle Bell 5k, the Turkey Trot 8k and the Karen Lawrence Run 4 mile. There are some other ones along the way that don't have the details posted yet like a mud run and a pie run. I am so excited. I hope to be able to do a half marathon by next summer. :)

Did I mention I lost 4 pounds this week? Holla!! I recently gained like 6 pounds back of the 11 I lost and was completely bummed but I think I set my mind straight and am back on track. So I am offically 190. Hey, I'll take it.

I've been super sore these past couple days and am just famished when I finish a run. It also doesn't help that it's almost 100 degrees outside and the heat just sucks all of my energy out. I need to take a rest day but I feel like I'm flaking out so I may just walk on my rest days.

I'm gonna run a 5K!

You read that right! I am so super duper excited about it. My mom is paying for me to register for my first 5k and a new pair of running shoes as a Mother's Day gift to me. She's awesome like that haha. The race is called the BlueCross Riverbend Run and its in mid June. Did I mention how excited I am?! :D

Today, I started officially training for it. I have this app on my phone that tracks my distance, speed, calories and what not. I usually walk about 5.75 kilometers every time and today I PR'd by 1 minute! Ha. I ran a lot more. Still not 100% running but it's kind of hard to run up hills pushing a jogging stroller and a 25 pound toddler haha. Hopefully my mom can watch him some days so I can train without him.

Yesterday I took Liam to a local event called the 'Running of the Chihuahuas'. It's a cute dog event sponsored by a local radio station where they race chihuahuas and have some bands come perform. I was actually excited because I got to see Boys Like Girls and Outtasight. Liam was of course excited because of all the dogs his size haha. One of my mom friends was there with her family and we hung out with them for a while. Then my aunts showed up. My aunt Terry breeds chihuahuas and she couldn't miss this event haha. They brought 2 of her dogs and we let Liam hold one.
Cute! Liam was at first, really unsure about holding her, but he eventually warmed up to her. :)

This week will be a super busy week for us. I will be training all week and running lots of errands. Hopefully, we can squeeze a few meetups in. I'm so broke so we will only be going to the free ones haha.

A (very detailed) Day In The Life of Liam and I (with pictures and everything!)

Thought I would share an (un)usual day in the life of us! (BTW, this ditl was actually a few days ago but my phone wouldn't upload the photos to my Flickr account for some reason but I fixed it!)

9:45- Wake up and have our first morning diaper change.

Sit and watch some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, while eating a bowl of Cheerios.
I jump in the shower real quick, while Liam plays in the living room. Don't worry, I watch him like a hawk.
I throw a load of whites in, because I have nothing to wear today and my favorite shirt is white. :) Also, at this time, I do Liam's second morning diaper change. He always waits till I change his diaper the first time before he does his uhhh, baby business.
I stand at the counter and eat my amazingly delicious breakfast of frozen waffle...with a spoon and one of Liam's cups, because I forgot to start the dishwasher last night. Ha.
Then I go into the bathroom and get ready for the day. This is my daily routine of Mary Kay cleanser, sun block and moisturizer and then lots of make up. Ha. I look like a zombie without make up.
After getting dressed, I head back into the kitchen, turn on Gilmore Girls and clean.
 Before...
After! Oh, how I love a clean kitchen. :)
Next, tackle the living room. See those cute baby legs in the bottom left corner? :)
After cleaning and getting little man dressed, we head to Goodwill. I am on a craft streak right now and am looking for anything to make stuff with! Ha, I found this cute fireman hat that Liam wouldn't leave without. Best $.99 I ever spent.
Then we headed to the mall.
Shopping with mommy! I usually put him in the jogging stroller for mall trips but I accidentally left it at the house.
We stop at the food court and grab Chic-fil-a for lunch.
After we eat, we run to Babies 'R' Us to grab a sippy cup leash because some one has a little too much fun throwing his sippy from the stroller. :)
Then we take a last minute trip to U-Haul...

where somebody falls asleep. :)
After we get home, I clean a little more and relax while little man chills and watches Team Umizoomi.
My mom makes fried rice for dinner. Which is a family favorite! :)
Liam loves rice!
Then after story and cuddles, it's bed time for my little guy.

Most of our days are never this busy. Sometimes, we just sit at home and play. But, I absolutely loved recording a day in the life and I definitely plan on doing this once a month. :D

Must of been in hiding...

My motivation finally came back. Whew! I don't like sitting around doing nothing. My sister always tells me that I need to sit down once in a while ha. Seriously though, I am always go, go go. Either, taking Liam to a play date, feeding him, bathing him, playing with him, shopping, cleaning. My days are always full, but I like it. I feel like I'm useful and needed.

My mom got back late last night and we had a few errands to run this morning. Then, I went out with Liam by myself. It felt good to get out of the house, after being cooped up for 3 days. Ha.

My weekend must have been super boring, because this is seriously all I have to write about. :)

Tomorrow, I am going to do a post called "A day in the life of Liam and I". With pics and everything! And I am taking Liam to the zoo.

Oh my God, this post is so boring. Ha.

Umm, here are some pictures I've taken from the last couple days. :)
Sam and Liam eating there apple sauce's at Moe's. Yummy!
Liam eating spaghetti for lunch today.

The awesome fort I built for Liam and Lily. Lily is Lee's boss's daughter whom Lauren was babysitting yesterday.
Found this awesome Toy Story comforter for Liam that I want!
This is at the high school I graduated from. My mom works here and since we have to pick her up some days, I let Liam run around in the gym. One day, in about 14 years, he will be back in this gym.
Riding the little train around the mall, that he insisted on riding. He rode around, going choo choo! So cute!

Liam's Birth Story

You can tell how bored I am when I write 2 posts in 1 day. Ha.

I promised this post a long time ago and finally got around to doing it, so here goes. :)

It was 11 am on September 2, 2010. I had just arrived at my doctor's office for my 37 week checkup. After being called back, I was sent to do the urine test and ultrasound, followed by the blood pressure and weight check. I was then left in the room to wait for my OB. The wait was very long, longer than normal and I started to get anxious. After my wonderful OB, Dr. Radpour came in, immediately, he started talking about inducing me, telling me Liam's abdomen had fallen behind in weight. During my entire pregnancy, Liam's abdomen was behind in development but everything else was right on track. He was never worried about it, but had said early on, that if his abdomen fell to about 3-4 weeks behind, they would have to intervene. That was a very scary thought.  Well, that day, it did fall behind even more.

Anyways, he was wanting to induce the next day! I was panicked! It was Labor Day weekend and my family was going out of town for Dragon*Con. So, ya, my blood pressure was through the roof. He checked my cervix and told me I was not dilated or effaced. But man, he sure was taking his time haha. He felt my pelvis and told me that is was too narrow to do a vaginal delivery and would have to have a c-section. I didn't care how he came out, just that he would be healthy and able to go home when I went home. He then left the room to check his schedule and thank goodness, he already had someone scheduled the next day, so he booked me for Tuesday, which was perfect timing, because my parents came home Monday night. He then sent me to another room, where they sat me down to schedule the c-section and tell me everything I needed to do to get ready for Tuesday morning. Then I walked out. Let me tell you, the entire time, my mind was freaking out. After I walked through the waiting room and out the door, I completely lost it. I seriously started sobbing right there in the hallway. I walked to the tiny bathroom and sat in there for about 20 minutes just crying. I was not prepared for this. After, I gathered the strength to stop crying long enough to make it to the car, I headed to the parking lot and lost it again. I called my mom, just sobbing, trying to tell her they were going to deliver Liam Tuesday and she was finally able to calm me down. I was an emotional wreck. Haha.

After the shock wore off, the excitement hit....hard. I started texting everyone I knew, telling them Liam was coming. I even headed straight to Babies 'R' Us, just to pick up a couple things. One thing we were not prepared for was how tiny he was gonna be. People kept telling us to skip newborn size clothes and go straight to 0-3 months. That's all we had. He was 5 pounds, 6 ounces that day. They told us we better have a lot of newborn size clothes. So we had to buy lots of pajamas and onesies and a whole new going home outfit. I then headed home and got the hospital bag ready.

Friday finally rolls around and everybody left for Dragon*Con. Alone time at last. I had actually scheduled a prenatal massage for that weekend but ended up canceling it because of the unsuspecting arrival. I just had too much to do. Like shop for baby things! Also, I had to have blood work done on Saturday to prepare for the c-section. My boss also invited me over for dinner that night since I was home alone and it was a fun night out. My parents and sister and her bf finally came home Monday evening and we were all excited for the arrival of baby Liam.

The c-section was scheduled for 8 am Tuesday morning but I had to be there at 5:30 am to prepare. I got absolutely no sleep that night. I got up around 4 am and then my mother and I headed to the hospital. I was checked into my room and given an IV and heart rate monitor for the baby. It was so neat, listening to his heartbeat in the room. I tried to sleep a little since I was exhausted but no luck. The anesthesiologist came in around 7:15 to tell me what the plan was and then my OB came in after to discuss stuff I was too groggy to remember. Around 7:40ish, my nurse came in early to take me back to the operating room. I walked to the other table that the surgery was gonna happen on and they gave me the epidural. It wasn't that bad at all. I don't know why people make it out to be the worst thing in the world, because it's not. I laid back on the table and immediately began to feel numb. After he did the check to make sure I couldn't feel a thing, he began. The worst part was that there was a glass cabinet to the left of me and everything was reflected in it. I could see everything but my mother blocked it so I wouldn't have to watch haha. It felt like forever before he got to the baby but he finally did. That was when he started putting pressure on my upper abdomen to ease Liam down. It didn't hurt but he made it hard to breathe, what with him pushing on my lungs and all haha. He finally got Liam's head out and one of the nurses told my mom to stand up and look and she just started snapping away with the pictures. Imagine a bloody, gory body with a head sticking out. I almost threw up looking at this picture haha. He was pulled out seconds later and started squeaking. It was the cutest sound in the entire world. After they cleaned him up, they help him up for me to see and I just remember thinking he was so tiny. Then they wrapped him up and handed him to my mother, since I was still being sewn up.

He was born at 8:02 am, weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 19 inches on September 7th, 2010. I was wheeled to the recovery room, where I got to hold him for the first time. And I fell in love with him all over again. While in recovery, they taught me how to breastfeed, which wound up being pointless because my body just wouldn't make breast milk. Sad, but he started losing weight because he couldn't get anything out of me. After an hour in recovery, I was wheeled back to my room, where so many people were sitting, waiting to meet the newest addition. My dad, sister, aunts Ann and Terry, and Liam's Godmothers Ashley and Jessica all met Liam for the first time. They took turns holding him and lots of pictures were taken and then they left. Later in the day, I was moved to a bigger room, because there were ants in the window sill of my old room. And ya know what, I walked to it! Ha, only like 5 hours after he was born! We stayed 2 1/2 days and were discharged Thursday night. We actually drove straight to Babies 'R' Us because he seriously had no clothes haha.

The first week home was all a blur. Seriously, I don't even remember where he slept. I believe it was his swing haha.  But time flew by and now he is 19 months. I am so extremely blessed to be Liam's mommy because I know I didn't deserve such a beautiful, wonderful little boy. But now, I am preparing for his SECOND birthday. Slow down little guy, mommy can't keep up! :)

And there ya have it...Liam's birth story. :)
